Privacy Policy

Account data

• Your email address (to create and secure your account).
• A display name, if you provide one.

Usage data, tied to your account:

• Events such as opening the app, running a sync, or generating cue points.
• App version and operating system.
• Your approximate country, derived from your connection (not precise location).
• A random per-device install identifier.

We use this to operate your account, understand which features are used, and improve SyncX. We do not sell your personal data.

• Your audio files, their metadata, your crates/playlists, or the cue points you create.
• Your listening history.

These stay on your computer and never leave it.

SyncX stores the following on your machine only:

• %APPDATA%\SyncX\history.sqlite — local DB of past syncs (track titles, source URLs, timestamps).
• %APPDATA%\SyncX\targets.json — your DJ-target paths and preferences.
• %APPDATA%\SyncX\session.json — your signed-in session, encrypted at rest.
• The audio files SyncX adds to your library — in the folder you choose (default ~\Music\SyncX).

• Supabase — stores your account and usage data.
• Vercel — hosts this website; standard server logs (IP, timestamps) apply.
• Mailchimp — if you submit your email for a download link, it is added to a mailing list. Unsubscribe anytime via the footer link in any email.
• Payments (future) — if paid features ship, payments are handled by Creem (merchant of record). SyncX never sees your card details.

Data may be processed on servers outside your country. Providers encrypt data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

• Account data: until you delete your account.
• Usage events: up to 13 months, then automatically deleted.

From inside the app, Settings → Account:

• Export my data — download a copy of everything we hold on you.
• Delete account — permanently remove your account, profile, devices and usage events.

You can also email baobabaudiolabs@gmail.com for any data request.

• Supabase — sign-in and the usage data above.
• open.spotify.com / soundcloud.com — to read public playlist/track metadata. No login.
• Public audio sources — to find and fetch the best-matching audio for each track.
• GitHub — to check for and download app updates.

SyncX is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
